~HAL – on Thursday announced a $1B dollar buy back and a 2 for 1 split. In past news SLB announced a 15M share buy back and

RIG announced a $2B buy back in October.

Breaking News:

~Brazilian stocks took off on Thursday due to a decision by the Government to not charge a 15% capital gains tax on bonds.
~KGC – RBC sees no growth until 2007

~PMI – announced they plan to buy back up to $150M in stock.

~SIRI – loss widens while subscriptions surge says David Wilkerson;

~Icahn ended his effort to seek control of Time Warner, deciding to run only five candidates for the board instead of a

full 14-member slate.

FFIV – positive comments from Piper Jaffray;

JCP – debt rating upgraded due to flawless execution says DBAB – possible scalp short around $60;

GES – upgraded by Piper with a $44 target, and downgraded by BMUR with a $46 Price target.

ADBL – upgraded to buy at Merriman Curhan Ford, downgraded by Piper Jaffrey, and price target lowered by Kaufman Brothers

from $8 to $7;
